Our Directors

Mr. Moore has served as our head director since 2016 and has 24 years of teaching experience.He was also the Head Director in Tarkington ISD for two years, Percussion Instructor at Barbers Hill for two years and spent 9 as the Assistant Director at Sterling High School. He began his career as the Assistant Director at Lee High School circa 1998.
Mr. Moore has been a resident of Baytown since the third grade. He attended Austin Elementary, Travis Elementary, Baytown Junior, and Lee High school. He has a bachelor's degree in Music Education from The University of Houston. He and his wife, Leslie, have three kids a dog and 1.5 cats.

Mr. Barron has been teaching band at Gentry Junior School since 2016 and has 16 years of teaching experience.


He teaches beginning tuba, euphonium, trombone, trumpet and flute. He is the primary director for the Symphonic Band. and Concert Band He also team teaches the Honor Band.


​Prior to teaching in Goose Creek, he was Band Director at Stevenson Middle School in Houston ISD for 7 years. During this time the program grew from 40 students to over 300 students. Before that he was Assistant Band Director at Red Oak HS, and Assistant Band Director at Alvarado HS. Bands under Mr. Barron’s direction have received numerous sweepstakes awards and Best in Class Awards.

He is a graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. Mr. Barron resides in Pasadena and enjoys traveling in his spare time.
